Holistic Advanced Practice

This class is more suitable for those already with a couple of years practice. It is an all rounded practice that includes asana work, meditation, chanting and pranayama (breathing).

Yoga at Home

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga targets the connective tissue of the body, predominantly fascia, using long held floor based postures. Props may be used to help the body find a comfortable edge so with time, patience and breath deep tension that has been long held can slowly begin to release. There is a meditative quality to the practice, with long periods of stillness allowing more attention to be given to awareness practice as well as the opportunity to cultivate greater receptivity and acceptance.

Yoga with Props

Hatha Yoga

This is normally the general term for all movement based yoga practice. Here, the practice is more static, holding poses for some breaths to learn or feel the alignment of the pose. Learn the fundatios of pranayama (breath work) and meditation.

Authentic Flow

"Authentic Flow is a somatic approach to movement through which we listen, taste, see, feel, inquire and learn to embody our bodies as a living, feeling and exploring creative process of becoming."

A practice guided with the intention of cultivating a deeper connection to the felt sense of the body as we learn to embody (feel) ourselves as a living, breathing process, through the tangible access points of the body. Learning to listen and respond to the internal language of the body through somatic explorations of movement and yoga asana.

Yoga Child's Pose

Vinyasa Yoga

This is a dynamic practice that flows from pose to pose, linked by a series of movements commonly known as ‘vinyasa’.  In this breath focused practice some poses are only held for a short time, if at all, while at times others may be held for longer.

Yoga Class

Restorative Yoga

This is a great class to unwind at the end of the day. It is a slower paced relaxation class that is especially beneficial if you are suffering from anxiety or stress.  Poses are passive, floor based, using props to make the body comfortable and held for several minutes. While postures allow the body to gently relax, this type of class works by allowing the nervous system to discharge stress and tension, coming into a more balanced state where the body can then rest, renew and heal.

Child Pose

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini, “the yoga of awareness,” opens your heart, builds strength and releases the energy located at the base of your spine. Each teacher will bring their own experience to the practice. Kundalini yoga focuses on breath and movement and challenges its students both physically and mentally. Kundalini literally means “coiled” and is represented by a metaphorical coiled snake at the base of your spine. The purpose of Kundalini practice is to uncoil your snake and release that energy within. Health, strength, fitness and overall happiness benefits are included.

Meditator

Tantra Yoga

Tantra – the ancient science which uses specific techniques (pranayama, bandha, mudra, meditation) to expand and liberate the consciousness from its limitation by direct control of Prana (life force, breath, awareness, consciousness… call it as you wish).
